Chesterfield FC is preparing significant changes to its digital presence, with an updated online platform launching at the start of September. The overhaul will affect how supporters access matchday coverage and club content throughout the week.
1866 Sport Radio to Close
The changes include the closure of 1866 Sport radio station, which will stop broadcasting after Friday, July 31, 2026. The pre-season friendly against Scunthorpe United will be the station's final match broadcast.
Since launching on August 21, 2021, the station has provided coverage of the men's first team, Chesterfield FC Women, Chesterfield FC Academy, and Chesterfield FC Community Trust, alongside music and entertainment programming.
New Streaming Providers Coming
The club is switching audio and video streaming providers for the 2026/27 season. Signup details will arrive next week ahead of the Carabao Cup fixture at Fleetwood Town on Saturday, August 8.
