A new smart fitness system is launching at the Healthy Living Centre in Staveley this week. The EGYM technology combines smart strength and cardio equipment with digital coaching tools to guide customers through tailored workouts.
The system is designed to make exercise more accessible and effective for people of all ages and abilities. Equipment automatically adjusts to each user's ability and goals, helping customers train safely while tracking progress through a dedicated app.
How the system works
Once set up, customers benefit from personalised equipment settings, guided workouts, automatic resistance adjustments and digital progress tracking. The technology aims to make gym sessions simpler, more motivating and more effective.
Council backing
Chesterfield Borough Council is rolling out EGYM as part of its ongoing commitment to improving leisure services. Councillor Gavin Baldauf-Good, cabinet member for customers and business transformation, said the investment supports residents to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
"This is a fantastic investment in our leisure facilities and in the health and wellbeing of our community," Baldauf-Good said. "The new EGYM system will give customers a more personalised gym experience, helping people of different fitness levels feel confident, supported and motivated to reach their goals."
Staff at the Healthy Living Centre are available to help customers with guidance on how to use the new equipment.
