Chesterfield FC winger Josh Koroma sat down with the media on Friday morning to preview his League Two debut against Fleetwood Town at the SMH Group Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Settling in at the club
Koroma explained how quickly he has adapted to his new surroundings. "As soon as I got here, all the lads are proper sound, so I'm settling in quite well," he said. "The manager and I are getting on well."
The winger had a prior connection to the club through manager Paul Hurst. "I knew Webby before I came here; he had me as a kid, so it was easy to settle in as well," Koroma added.
Koroma described the manager as a key reason for joining. "I wanted to move here mainly because of the gaffer. I spoke to him on the phone, and he just sounded like a very positive, fun guy, and that's why I wanted to come here and play. I'm happy at the moment. Training's been fun, the games have been fun, and we just have to focus on tomorrow, really."
Confidence in the squad
Speaking about the competitive level of League Two, Koroma expressed optimism. "I've seen our squad, and I'm fairly confident going into it with the squad we've got, the group of players we've got," he said.
He also reflected on recent performances. "As you saw last game, we obviously lost, but I think we played well."
