Chesterfield Football Club has announced the signing of 22-year-old striker Fraser Bryden from Northern Irish side Crusaders FC on a three-year contract, subject to medical and relevant approvals.

The Scottish forward joins after an impressive season in the Northern Irish Premiership, where he scored 23 goals in 37 appearances. His tally included three hat-tricks and a four-goal display against Glenavon.

Career Path

Bryden began his career at Ayr United's academy before featuring in the Scottish Championship for the club. He later enjoyed a loan spell with Queen of the South in Scottish League One.

He joined Crusaders in summer 2025 and made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in his first two games and adding another four in his final three appearances.

The Move

Bryden spent Monday morning at the SMH Group Stadium. He expressed his excitement about the move, saying the opportunity had excited him since learning of the club's interest weeks earlier.
