Chesterfield FC suffered a 3-2 defeat to Halifax Town on Tuesday evening, conceding a goal in stoppage time after mounting a spirited comeback.
The Spireites equalised at 2-2 through new signings Ruel Sotiriou and Josh Koroma, only for Halifax to score again and secure victory.
Webb on the Performance
Assistant manager Danny Webb praised his squad's work rate and fitness following the loss. He highlighted the quality shown by the two new attacking signings.
Webb acknowledged the performance was sloppy at times and stressed the need to address recurring issues from last season. The manager identified conceding late goals as a particular concern — Chesterfield had just equalised in the final minute before conceding again.
